werejustaninchapart asked: you seem to be the person to ask about these things (as i'm rather impressed with your crafting and cooking posts). my anniversary is valentine's day and i'm trying to come up with an affordable gift. i have basic knitting and crocheting skills. i made him a handbound sketchbook for christmas and i've made him some mini-albums and stuff. any suggestions? i can give you more info if you need it!
I am so sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I had such an insane weekend! I think I would need more info on him to give you a great suggestion, but I will throw a few out there and maybe one will sound cool. I don’t know if you saw my post about the Star Wars terrarium that my husband made me , but if your fella is a Star Wars fan , that would be a really cool idea. If you get the Star Wars craft book, they have a few ideas for different terrariums in there and other gifts. If he is into Lord of the Rings, or Star Trek, you could easily make one for those too. If you knit, I always think a nice scarf is a great gift. My mother law made my husband a cowl neck scarf with a button a few years ago and he really loved it, and it would take less time to knit then a whole scarf. Here is a free pattern for one similar. (second one down) And if all else fails, no man will ever turn down some homemade cookies. I really want to try this recipe, you could make them into hearts with a silicone mold! Hope this helped, if not feel free to message me and we can talk about it more.
